Havasu Stitchers Quilt Guild FAQWhen does the Havasu Stitchers Quilt Guild meet? We hold general membership meetings on the second Thursday of every month at Mohave Community College, 1977 Acoma Blvd. West, Room 600, Lake Havasu City, AZ. Depending on our needs, we may make arrangements for a different location. The meeting starts at 6:00 PM, but come early to meet & greet each other and see what exciting new classes are available. Please note, times and dates are subject to change based on other events, so please confirm by checking our Home page or by email to info@havasustitchers.com. How do I join the Havasu Stitchers? You can join online on our membership page or attend any meeting to join. Membership year runs from July 1 to June 30th. Prospective members are invited to join at anytime during the year. Membership with the Arizona Quilt Guild is mandatory and requires you to pay a separate membership fee. Membership dues are not prorated. Do I need to be able to quilt before I can join? Absolutely not! Anyone with an interest in quilting is welcome to attend chapter and guild meetings. There are several classes held locally taught by our members. Classes are a great way to acquire the skills for making your own quilts. Chapter meetings also present numerous learning opportunities. What are the benefits of guild membership? When will I get my guild membership card? Once your membership is verified as current with AQG, your membership I.D. card will be provided to you at a general meeting. You can contact membership@havasustitchers.com directly with any questions. How/when will I receive the password to the Member’s Only section of the website? The username and password will be sent via an email. You can always click the "forgot password" button at log in to create a new password. The website team does not have access to your passwords. Keep this information handy! Do I need to be a member to attend Guild meetings? An individual may attend meetings of any one chapter three times in a calendar year before being required to join. Guild meetings after three attendances are $5 each meeting. Do I need to be a member to attend Guild classes? No. You can become a member for the day for $10.00 in addition to the class and materials fee. Contact education@havasustitchers.com for more information. How do I sign up for classes? Members can go to the Events & Classes page to peruse the class offerings. Registration for classes will open up about 90 days in advance. Registration must be paid for at the time of registering. How can I get the Guild newsletter? The Dangling Thread is our newsletter. It is posted on our website to members only. Members will receive an emailed link to the newsletter when it is available. How do I submit a news item for the newsletter? If you have a contribution for the newsletter, please email it to newsletter@havasustitchers.com to be included. When is the next Guild quilt show? Our next quilt show will be held February 5-7, 2026. Mark your calendars and come join the fun. |
