Havasu Stitchers Committees A brief description of our committees Community Outreach Terrie Eller Community Outreach makes lap quilts, adult bibs and dining scarves, walker bags, children's quilts, and more for donations to various long-term care and assisted living facilities. Hospitality Linda Milligan Hospitality brings snacks for our meetings. Any excess funds will be added to our end-of-year party. Library Coral Sieber The Havasu Stitchers Library has books for $1 each, magazines 25 cents each or 5 for $1, and patterns $1each. Buy, use, and donate back so we can sell it again. Newsletter Anastasia Swinkles The Dangling Thread is our monthly newsletter which is sent to all members by email. Our President writes a greeting to the members, and there is a listing of all the meetings, events, and classes for the present and following months, minutes of the previous guild meeting, birthdays for the month, and any special events. All members are welcome to contribute articles and information. Quilt Show 2026 Carole Arcilla Our Biennual Quilt Show and largest fundraiser is schedule for February 2026. At our last show in February 2024, we had over 100 quilts displayed made by our members and many vendors attended. We are looking for volunteers to head up our many committees that are needed to organize our show. Ways and Means Mary LaFountain Ways and Means hosts the raffles and games to raise funds for the annual Christmas gathering for our members. Website Mike Mochan and Tech Team Our website tech team keeps the website updated for members and guests to find guild information and register for our educational classes and events. |
